Lives in New Brunswick
Born in Montreal
"I live, dream and paint in the quaint costal village of Cap-Pelé in New Brunswick since 1992. For over thirty years, my medium of choice was watercolor but in the last five years I have been exploring the possibilities of acrylic paint. Living near the ocean has had a significant influence on my work, not only in regards to the subjects that inspire me, but also through the energy and the slow rhythm that inevitably seeps into everything I paint. Over the years I have participated in numerous solo and group shows in New Brunswick and Quebec, and have enjoyed teaching to both adults and children. From 2008 to 2011, I had the great opportunity of operating my own art gallery, Galerie de la plage at the beautiful Aboiteau Beach in Cap-Pelé. These days, although I am still painting the seascapes and landscapes that surround me, I also paint with words. I have recently started studying translation, a field that also allows me to be creative. In the end, creating is what my life is all about."
